My New York City | Film Noir Style

This is a more personal collection of photographs in the dark, moody, almost grungy and certainly intimate style of film noir. Low light, stronger contrasts, film grain, and vignetting is an interesting photographic style that here serves as a vehicle to present one of the world's most fascinating and multi-faceted cities. There is something very tangible in this style and it has something that draws you into a scene. Further, there is so much going on in the Big Apple that for this portfolio I decided to strip New York off its colors and its shine in order to let the real NYC come out a little.
